Handover Booked...

No pictures to add unfortunately!  When we get handover and start moving I'll take some then!!

We had our final inspection on Tuesday 8 March, and as we decided to employee an independent inspector to do the final inspection report for us this apparently removed our Site Supervisor from the inspection.  This meant that he then had to wait to receive the report from us and it by-passes him and goes to his boss for authorisation, which will then be passed to the SS to fix!  So apparently this adds quite a bit of time onto the process....not happy Jan!!!!

So I got the report on Wednesday and passed it directly to the SS.  As almost all the problems the SS had already noted where all that was on the report (probably a waste of money, but it at least gives up piece of mind that the house won't fall down!) he hoped it wouldn't take long to get authorisation.  I finally heard back from him Friday afternoon...he hadn't been able to tie down his boss for an answer, so just went ahead and did the fixes!!!  We planned for handover first thing Monday morning!

Only to then receive a late call Friday, the SS was not impressed...he had gone to pick up my "handover kit" and apparently the girl in the office who does it hadn't and had alread left!!!  So he had no keys to give me until the office opened again Monday morning...It isn't his fault, and I probably wouldn't have done much Monday night, so have now made handover for Tuesday morning at 6:45am (before work!).

If all goes to plan, we have the carpet being installed and dishwasher delivered on Thursday (my first day of holidays! Yeah!!) and can start organising everything...full move is set for Monday 21 March...

Next step is the driveway and landscaping...fun times ahead!!! :-)
